My name is Fadiyah Alnuways. I am 26 years, and I am studying MBA in curriculum and instruction in Western Oregon University. Befor I came to USA, I joined in the program of King Abdullah for foreign scholarship to study master in USA. In addition, the most important part in this program was studying English language to prepare Saudi students to study in universities in USA. Over the past two years of study English as a second language, I knew the meaning of ELLs because I was considered as English language learner, which means students who are learning English as a second language. I think many schools in USA ready to receive students who come with their parents as immigrants or students who have a scholarship to study in USA. Although there are many challenges face teachers in teaching process with ELLs, a lot of teachers in USA prepared with appropriate teaching methods and goals for these students. In fact, I am not teacher yet but in future, I will apply all the methods that I will learn for ELLs during my study in Use because I think they are effective and useful in teaching process. In the future, I will support ELLs students by many methods. First, knowing the background for students educationally and personality is useful to understand students. Second, it is important to provide many exercises of speaking, writing, reading and listening daily to improve their skills. Third, trying to participate students with social events and celebrations to support their communication skills. Finally, provide high quality instructions will help students perfectly to overcome the challenges in learning English.
